this past week

Well, this past week was a bust.  Monday and Tuesday I had company and that threw everything off.  Wednesday and Thursday were good.  Friday I was sick, and the weekend just sucked - still feeling bad, so epic fail for the week on steps.

So, something new I'm trying.
·    Write down three things you feel grateful for daily.
·    Write down something great that happened within the past 24 hours.
·    Exercise a little each day.
·    Meditate for a few minutes each day.
·    Perform a random act of kindness.

I am grateful for a job I enjoy.  I am grateful for a family I love.  I am thankful for being able to use my time at work as I see fit (no micromanaging).

Something great that happened in the past 24 hrs - I got to go to the movies with Aaron and saw the Minions!

I'm working on my steps for the day.  And I downloaded "headspace" to see how it works for meditation.

Not sure on the RAK yet.  Will have to think on it.

July 4

Well, I'm doing well on the step thing, but my eating is out of control.  Starting Wednesday (I'm going to Texas de Brazil on Tuesday evening), I'm going to log my food.  At this point, I'm going to just log, not try to restrict.  I do plan to up my veggie intake though.  I love veggies anyway.  But right now, carbs and dairy (particularly ice cream) are out of control.  I know exercise won't do much for weight loss, but it will help overall health.  The next step is to get the diet under control.

Friday

Made my step goal Monday thru Friday. Woohoo. I exceeded the goal most days by at least 1000 steps. Still working on the water. This weekend and early next week will be tough. I am off u Gil Wednesday, so I will really have to work at it. Company monday and Tuesday, so no gym. But I hope to make it up if I don't. This is why I am not raising my step goal yet. 5000 is good for now. When I do bump it up, it will be to 6000. Gradual increases will be best, especially since my kettle bell workouts I am going to start really won't up the step count.
